Bachelor

(wherever I have used “he” it means “she” also)

This is a person who has started earning an income but for the time being, has no financial dependents. Not yet married. Not yet clear about his financial goals and timelines for the same. Having just started his journey in personal finance, this stage forms the foundation for developing the right attitude, knowledge, and skills to manage his money in the future. For this category, I primarily act as a mentor, coach and sounding board to develop these skills. This is the Gyan part.

In addition, inculcating the discipline to save, channelizing the savings into appropriate investments, selecting suitable insurances, learning to buy products in direct mode are covered. This is the action part.

Once he goes through the process, he would have achieved what majority of Indians have never done for generations – Getting it right, the first time and every time.
